Friday, April 11, 2008We now have confirmation from McAfee Avert Labs that EasyLabeller, EasyMonitor and Doctate are all virus-free. DAT file 5272 has been released which fixes the problem.Unfortunately the affected applications will need to be re-installed. The McAfee antivirus alert reporting EasyLabeller and Easymonitor to be infected with MalWarrior virus this morning is a FALSE ALARM. Unfortunately this information will be too late to prevent it deleting these files and thus rendering the software unusable.
Wednesday, March 19, 2008McAfee have admitted that they made a mistake over the supposed generic.dx trojan infection last week and have issued new DAT files. This will have prevented further problems but if you have have had one of our programs deleted by McAfee and cannot get it working again, please contact support@gp-it.co.uk for advice about re-installation.This problem was nothing to do with GP-IT software but has caused a lot of problems for our customers. Control-IT helped a number of practices while I was on holiday. If you do not have an EasyLabeller support contract, I recommend that that is a sensible precaution in future as we cannot guarantee to help out users who do not have support contracts. Thursday, January 17, 2008GP-IT is now an EMIS accredited partner for EasyLabeller for LV. EasyLabeller for PCS should also be accredited shortly.Version 2.0.1 includes appointment card functionality and allows the printing of appointment slips from EMIS LV and PCS. Wednesday, December 12, 2007EasyLabeller beta pilot for EMIS LV is now finished and the PCS pilot is now under way. We will be supplying EMIS practices from early JanuaryThe way that EasyLabeller is sold will change from 1st January 2008. Sales and marketing has been taken over by Control-IT Ltd (no connection with GP-IT) who can also provide installation, support and supply hardware & consumables. They can also supply demo versions which are no longer available for download The price for EasyLabeller has remained unchanged for the past 3 years and there will be a small increase in price to £275+vat for a site licence from 1st January.
