The search facilities in Premiere work OK(ish) for simple single criteria searches but struggle with multiple criteria searches.
Sometimes they lock up, sometimes they crash, they invariably slow the server (often permanently) and often we are not sure that they produce the answers that we want.
EasyAudit gets round many of these problems by searching through patients incrementally and filtering hits based on filter criteria.
The search criteria are listed in a tree format which makes it easy to see how the search is constructed
Any number of node filters can be piggy-backed and only hits that pass a particular node are passed onto the next level
The results are provided in numerical format but hitlists can be created in CSV format (no writing to Premiere tables) The hitlists can be viewed and printed from within the program or used with other applications (eg MS Word) for mail-merge etc.
The advantages of using EasyAudit are
- The search does not significantly slow the server
- The search can be aborted if necessary
- Multiple criteria can be searched on in a single audit
- Results are presented as total hits as well as percentages
- Latest occurrences of groups of criteria can be searched on (eg if a patient was on oral therapy in 1995 and insulin in 2000 - they will be counted as insulin dependant only)
