McAfee Virus warning  "MalWarrior"

Following the virus DAT update 5271 released on 11/4/08 McAfee antivirus has reported EasyLabeller, EasyMonitor and Doctate as MalWarrior files.

It then proceeded to delete these files without warning so the applications no longer work

We have submitted these files to McAfee AvertLabs who agree that this was a false alarm.  This is the reply we received:

Our Senior Virus Research Engineers have examined the file in question and no virus was found.

This detection has been corrected in the current DAT set (5272).

We have checked the new DAT file 5272 and confirm that it works OK with all the applications.  The DAT file should be downloaded automatically by your system.  You can check this by right mouse clicking the McAfee shield on the task bar and then click 'About'. It should be dated 11th April 2008 or later and be 'Virus Definitions' number 5272 or higher.

Unfortunately you will have to re-install the applications to make them work again.  Here are links to the latest updates:

We apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused to you.  We are aware of the inconvenience and disruption caused by this type of event happening twice in the space of a month.

Unfortunately it has been caused by circumstances beyond our control and our applications are not the only products that have been affected.
