EasyMonitor 3.0.0.4 This version contains an interim database which will be updated to include the 2005/6 database in the near future Server Installation =================== The server installation script MUST be run on the clinical server or another PC that has interbase server installed. It will check that interbase is present before installing the database and the client setup files. The client setup files must be run on each client over the network. All users must have terminated EasyMonitor. If you are not sure then reboot the server first or stop and restart the Interbase service. You will be asked whether you want to replace your existing EasyMonitor Database. If you do, then your original one will be renamed Client Setup ============ On the client PC click Start then run. Type the following into the dialog box then click OK: \\\Easymonitor\EasymonitorClientsetup.Exe where is the name of your clinical server (normally CLINICAL or NT4PSBS) Please note the double backslash before the server name This needs to be repeated on each client where you wish to install the program. Installing Macro Express script =============================== You need Macro Express v3. Within the Macro Express Editor, use the menu File/Import/Import Macros. Click the "Open File" button and navigate to EasyMonitor.mex which will have been installed with your client installation. This should show 2 new macros which will be imported and merged into your existing Macro Express file. When you double click on an Easymonitor entry to show extended information you can now post the Readcode directly into Premiere Version History =============== 3.0.0.2 New version that works with Premiere v2.9. Max 4 lines. Getting started =============== The program can be started at any time (even before Premiere starts) and will detect if Premiere is running. During installation you will be given the option of putting a shortcut in the startup group so that the program runs each time Windows is started. When it is running it may be reduced to a small icon in the Icon tray at the bottom right of the screen. Right clicking this icon will bring up a menu. You can view the settings, status and exit the program. IMPORTANT - the program does NOT exit if the close window 'x' is clicked - it will minimise to the icon tray. To exit the program either use the exit menu when Right-clicking the icon or in the file menu. When you first run easymonitor, you will be prompted for your Interbase user name and password. These are the same as your Premiere Login. You can also change these by using the File/Interbase parameters menu. The program should detect where your clinical database path is located (under Alias in the interbase parameters menu) You can run a single shot check by clicking the flash icon or set auto checking in which case it checks for a changed patient every second. Autochecking will be automatically disabled if the database cannot be opened for any reason. The usage should be fairly intuitive - particularly if you have used EasyAudit before. If a node has a text message defined it will show in red Date filters have been improved from those in EasyAudit - it is possible to define a different date filter for each node. This improved feature will eventually be moved into EasyAudit. The Print Queue facility allows you to save messages to be printed out as a batch later on. This is useful for example when preparing for visits. The print queue is accessed from the file menu or the printer button Known Bugs ========================== There are a few features left over from EasyAudit that I have not yet removed and may produce unexpected results. Export/import not yet converted - do not try it at this stage No help file provided No major bugs identified although occasional focal window errors may require the program to be stopped and restarted Please notify any bugs or problems to the Easyaudit group or direct to me at peterharris@doctors.org.uk Future Plans ===================== I believe that this will be an invaluable tool for Premiere practices struggling to make the system work for them under the new contract. I have plans to make it available for Synergy as well but have not yet investigated what benefits it has over existing watchdog Sophies. I will add some repeat prescribing logic in the near future. If you have any other ideas that you would like to see included, please let me know. Peter Harris 21/6/03
